About
Matthew Cury is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, coach, and purple belt who has been immersed in the sport since childhood. Growing up on the mats, Matthew developed a deep understanding of Jiu-Jitsu not only as a martial art, but as a lifestyle built on discipline, resilience, respect, and continuous improvement.
As both an active competitor and instructor, Matthew brings a unique balance of technical knowledge, real competition experience, and leadership to his training. His years of teaching have helped him develop the ability to break down complex techniques in a clear and practical way, while his competitive background continues to push him to sharpen his own skills at the highest level possible.
Matthew is committed to representing his team, community, and supporters with professionalism on and off the mats. Whether he is preparing for competition, coaching students, or helping the next generation of athletes build confidence, his goal remains the same: to grow through Jiu-Jitsu and inspire others to do the same.
